Events include Saddle bronc, Bareback, Bull Riding, Calf Roping, Steer Wrestling, Barrel Racing, Boys Steer Riding, Team Roping, Novice Horse Riding, and Junior Bull Riding. Sanctioned by the Foothills Cowboy Association (FCA).

Held the third Wednesday of July, the Dogpound Rodeo is one of the most popular events in the area. Held at the Dogpound Rodeo Grounds, and sanctioned by the Foothills Cowboy Association (FCA).

Held the third weekend in July, events include Barrel Racing, Poles, Breakaway Roping, Keyhole, Calf Roping & Goat Tying. Held at the Carstairs Rodeo Grounds, and sanctioned by the Central Alberta Rodeo Association (CARA).

Held in conjunction with the annual fair, events include pancake breakfasts, a street parade downtown, beer gardens, bench show, muttin' bustin', an antique tractor pull.. Sanctioned by the Foothills Cowboy Association (FCA) and hosted by the Didsbury Agricultural Society.
